Our out-going Best Actress has hit the Manhattan pavement, promoting *A Doll's House* on Broadway, which opens next month, but is in previews as of next Monday. Gotta get out there and drum up some eyeballs for Ibsen! (*Eyeballs for Ibsen* was the title of my unsuccessful and much-maligned master's thesis.) (I do wonder if she's going to miss the Oscars, since there will be overlap there.) Anyway, nothing says "I'm a serious thespian" like (a) velvet and (b) turtlenecks.

I jest, but I also think she looks great. Why don't *I* have a plum-colored velvet trench dress? Other than not being a serious thespian.
