This was a HUGE year for her, as she had SIX movies out, all of which garnered her some attention: Take Shelter, The Help, Wilde Salome, Coriolanus, The Tree of Life, and Texas Killing Fields (okay that last one might not have been a boon to her career). She'd made her Cannes debut this May with Tree of Life, and now, Venice with Wilde Salome. She got hooked into Gucci EARLY. And this looks very nice.

Someone please turn a hose on Pacino. (Wilde Salome was an experimental half-documentary, half-not thing based on, yes, Oscar Wilde and his play Salome, which they later turned into 2013's Salome by cutting out the documentary parts.)

I forgot she popped by for a fest-adjacent party in 2013, but she didn't walk any of its film red carpets, so I don't count it as a proper appearance. This is more chic, though! I think the purse would be cuter with this if it were red or pink.

This is a weird photo. Her face looks different in a way that doesn't match the OTHER photos from this year. Maybe they did a weird makeup switch or her Botox was still settling or something (again, no judgment). I do NOT understand why so much of this dress is lopsided, from the lining to the hem.

These two have been friends for a long time, and Chasty said recently that their relationship hasn't been quite the same since shooting this project because it was so intense, or whatever? That seems a little nutty to me, but it does make me wonder if this whole performance was a bit of overcompensating in case there WAS any weirdness.
