(That little portable pedestal of sorts made me laugh; I assume it's... to help them get in or out of the boats? But I don't think I've noticed it before.) Anyway, I DO also think the dress might be great. but she is undeniably also wearing the magnificent hell out of it. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13354774gt-1661986968.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Fisher/Shutterstock (13354774gt) Jodie Turner-Smith 'White Noise' premiere and Opening Gala, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - 31 Aug 2022 I enjoy the optical illusion it creates that she is just floating on air, no legs needed. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13356053d-1661987055.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Alberto Terenghi/ipa-agency ne/Shutterstock (13356053d) Turner Smith 'White Noise' premiere and Opening Gala, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - 31 Aug 2022 It also was wrangled to perfection. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13354759an-1661986946.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Fisher/Shutterstock (13354759an) Jodie Turner-Smith 'White Noise' photocall, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - 31 Aug 2022 Which make this such a WOMP-WOOOOMP moment. Generously, this is a modern interpretation of Madonna's "Like a Virgin" era. But I tend to land on Stompy Honeymoon. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13354759au-1661986957.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Fisher/Shutterstock (13354759au) Jodie Turner-Smith 'White Noise' photocall, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - 31 Aug 2022 At least she's having fun. In my head, someone just sang out, "Like a virgin," and she's replying with the appropriate, "Heyyyy!" ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13354946aq-1661986989.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock (13354946aq) Jodie Turner-Smith Arrivals, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - 31 Aug 2022 And there were sunglasses. I don't tend to like this style as much, but again, she's found some that she can slay. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13354946ar-1661987002.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Anthony Harvey/Shutterstock (13354946ar) Jodie Turner-Smith Arrivals, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - 31 Aug 2022 My emotional journey here was, "Are they hotter when she's looking through them, or staring over them?" ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13355609ba-1661987022.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Maria Laura Antonelli/Shutterstock (13355609ba) Jodie Turner Smith during 'White Noise' photocall, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - 31 Aug 2022 'White Noise' photocall, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - - 31 Aug 2022 My emotional journey HERE was, "LOOK AT HER FACE." Her earrings are massive and somewhat costumey, in what verges on a silly way, but she went for it with the confidence of a person who is like, "It's okay, my face can carry it," AND IT CAN. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13354774gx-1661986978.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by David Fisher/Shutterstock (13354774gx) Jodie Turner-Smith 'White Noise' premiere and Opening Gala, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - 31 Aug 2022 "Well did I nail this or what?!?" ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2022/08/shutterstock_editorial_13355951u-1661987031.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Laurent Vu/SIPA/Shutterstock (13355951u) Greta Gerwig and Jodie Turner-Smith 'White Noise' outside arrivals, 79th Venice International Film Festival, Italy - 31 Aug 2022 Truly, these are the summer vibes I wanted but did not achieve.
