It can be so challenging to wear anything that goes straight down the front of your dress -- piping, a zipper -- because anytime you move or sit, it inevitably bends and shifts. She did pretty well with this one, though. It mostly held up, and I think it helps that there were other things to focus on besides that.

This is the year she came back to present Best Actor -- as is traditionally the job of the reigning Best Actress -- and she gave it to Denzel ("Training Day") by pausing and saying, "I LOVE MY LIFE. Denzel Washington." And that is when we realized she is a bit of a "make it about myself" person. At least here if she got nervous, her armpits were already aired out.
