When My Best Friend's Wedding came out, Julia Roberts had been in a real resume rough patch, and I remember her doing press for it and noting dryly that it marked her return to the hair everyone liked on her the best: big, curly, and red, just like in *Pretty Woman* and *Mystic Pizza*. The hair that made her famous. That is both true, for me, and also probably informative as to why Julia here has a short, straight, brownish bob. She often seemed to push against that particular aesthetic, and I always wondered if she viewed it as a pigeonhole, or as too big a concession to the loud demands of fame and fans. I think she strained against her superstardom at times, basically, but it sure came for her anyway. In summary: Sorry, Julia, but I DO love that red curly hair, and also... what *is* that boxy thing you're wearing?
