Kara Young [wore a really dramatic green gown last year](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/tony-awards-2024-greens/the-77th-annual-tony-awards-arrivals?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) when she won in the featured actress category -- her third nomination in a row in that category. For her fourth nom, and her second win, she snagged an equally major black ensemble and became the first Black performer to win consecutive Tonys. A lot of nominees went with black on this night, actually, as did several of the returning *Hamilton* cast members and the stars of the new *Chess* reboot. Hey, it's a classic for a reason.
