Then Kendall popped up in this, and reader, there were pictures earlier in the night (which I now cannot find, although I would not have downloaded it anyway) in which it appeared her dress had shifted and one of her labia was hanging out. I am not entirely surprised that a lingerie brand would lean into nudity, but what is La Perla even doing there? How big a *Vogue*/Conde advertiser is La Perla, that Anna is willing to take it seriously?

## Kim Kardashian in Vivienne Westwood

By now, we were very concerned that the KardJenners were arriving in order of nakedness, and that Kim would show up in pasties. But she surprised us all by going in a direction that, by her standards, is practically Jane Austenlike. But Kim is no stranger to bold clothes, so yes, we are imagining -- just for a second -- what might have been. Perhaps it's Kanye's wild-eyed influence we are missing.

Tommy really appears to have taxed himself this year. This doesn't seem like anything he would design, which is probably right, given that it's in effect a costume ball. For me, it's a bit on-the-nose -- mashing up a ball down with a saucy stripper coat doesn't feel like "in-betweenness" so much as "hey let's shove these two things together" -- but at least it's dramatic. But why is it beige?!?
