I was always going to start this post with a photo of these two on the roof with this stunning vista, even if this technically happened at the end of their outing.

In January 2018 The Duchess of Cambridge visited The Maurice Wohl Clinical Neuroscience Institute at King's College London's Denmark Hill Campus. His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh is a Life Governor of King's College London and Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal has been a Fellow since 1989.

But I mostly enjoyed this photo because it's got Car Logistics with Kate lurking back there, waiting to be able to get out of the car.

See? No hat without the queen. I like this dress a lot -- a gray flannel long-sleeved dress with giant pleats is right up my street. The whole thing is VERY REASONABLE, yet also somewhat twirly.

Apparently, I felt that so strongly that I needed to share this twice. I will note that I would have also liked this with her LK Bennett boots, to toughen it up a bit, but I get why one doesn't wear ankle boots with the Queen, perhaps.

As promised, these two look very nice and elegant and appropriate for the occasion, obviously. (Meghan's coat is, we think, Gucci and whatever it is, it's, you know, a very nice black coat.)
