This definitely looks better ON a person than it does in photos on the Orla Kiely website. This is how a version of it is described online: "Round neck with ribbon detail, long sleeves, gathered cuffs, ruffled v at chest and back, cinched waist, all over floral pattern, velvet ribbon and rickrack trims, gathered hem." That's... A LOT GOING ON. I am pleased she's continuing to experiment, but this needs to subtract two elements, I think.

Those are also the most tolerable of her beige shoes, for me, in terms of cut and texture. But red would have been so cute! Or even pink. Or blue. Or yellow. There's plenty of color in this ress to work with, girl, and it's not like beige suede was going to be snow-safe anyway (in terms of not getting wet spots).

Kate, as patron, is there to open a new exhibit: "Victorian Giants: The Birth of Art Photography (1 March – 20 May 2018), will combine for the first time ever portraits by Lewis Carroll (1832–98), Julia Margaret Cameron (1815–79), Oscar Rejlander (1813–75) and Lady Clementina Hawarden (1822-65). The exhibition will be the first to examine the relationship between the four ground-breaking artists." And she is not even bothering with gloves or a coat, which is a baller move in a blizzard, Duchess. For real. Respect.

"Smile, Kate. Soon enough you will see your awful portrait in there, pronounce it in desperate need of cleaning, and get it taken down for as long as possible."

"And I said to Meghan, 'Just wait until they give YOU eye bags the size of Balmoral.' She shrieked."
