This is just not great on her, and definitely not with her hair back -- my pet peeve with her, as you all probably are sick of me saying, is her penchant for slick updos. They rarely suit her. I think it's because she's SO delicate that all clothes threaten to overpower her, and she needs the softness of hair around her face to cut through that. I wish SHE would cut a chic little bob. That would be great here.

This is a bit better -- a cousin or sibling, perhaps, to the one Kirsten Dunst wore recently. The updo is better with it, lest I get a reputation as being anti-chignon. But I do look at this and think, "Aw, Kirsten, I'm sorry you didn't get an Oscar nod because nobody saw Melancholia," so maybe in Bosworthian terms that is not a success.

AND THEN. Look, I LOVE huge sweaters. I hide in them a lot, especially because I am the only person who ever goes to Fashion Week and then GAINS weight, because we are so obsessive about not skipping meals, because hunger is NOT the new black. But this looks like someone passed out in the middle of trying to knit a Cosby sweater. And you don't do that. You don't drop the Cos. You FINISH THAT SHIT. It's like we say, go big or go home. Nowhere in there is "go to sleep."
