What this truly feels like to me is a Designer Imposters version of [the Time Lenny Kravitz Wore That Massive Scarf,](https://www.vulture.com/2020/10/lenny-kravitz-scarf-it-was-cold.html?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) but it's not *not* that Katie Holmes has spent the last five years of her life underneath some kind of *Beauty and the Beast*ian spell wherein she has been living as the ratty 70s sofa from someone's dorm rec room and has only just now re-wakened in her human form:

It could definitely also be that.
