*Song Sung Blue* is about a Neil Diamond tribute band. No, really. Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman are in it. Someone managed to get them a Gotham Independent Film Award this year -- apparently already decided, but not handed out until Dec. 1 -- in the category of "Musical Tribute," which does not appear to have any history at this ceremony and therefore is *definitely* made up to get Kate and Hugh to the ceremony, right? Do we think this movie is any good? I sincerely do hope that the Golden Globes at least get desperate in the musical/comedy category and give this a nod, because Kate Hudson veers between looking super and looking bonkers, and I would be happy to sit on the edge of my seat about it come early January. *Look* at this. It's basically a bikini top and silk boxers with a sheer nightie over it, and then hasty sleeves nobody felt like fully attaching. It is a Knives Out mystery, because unless someone sabotaged it with an actual knife, then its reason for being is a mystery.
