The description for this movie sounds highly comedic:

> *"Song Sung Blue* is a 2025 American biographical musical drama film produced, written and directed by Craig Brewer. Based on the 2008 documentary of the same name by Greg Kohs, it stars Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson as Mike and Claire Sardina, who performed as the Neil Diamond tribute band *Lightning & Thunder*."

This plot and this cast honestly sounds like an absolute hoot. Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson crooning Neil Diamond covers? Sign me up. However -- and I will not spoil you -- the Wikipedia synopsis of the plot is NOT funny and sounds quite serious. Having said that, [Deadline loved it](https://deadline.com/2025/10/song-sung-blue-review-hugh-jackman-kate-hudson-neil-diamond-1236596948/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) and I think we as a nation are ready for Kate Hudson to come back as an actor rather than someone trying to sell us a leggings subscription.

If only for the red carpets! This is so good!
