It makes good sense that Kate Hudson made an appearance at the Guild of Music Supervisors Awards; *Song Sung Blue*, the film she's nominated for this year, is about (in part) a Neil Diamond cover band, and I'm sure the music supervisor on it ([Trygge Toven, who was nominated but lost to Gabe Hilfer, who did *Marty Supreme*](https://www.billboard.com/lists/guild-of-music-supervisors-awards-2026-full-winners-list/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)) worked hard and she appreciated it. It's cool, though, for A list celebs to lend their support to events celebrating crew that work below the line. It takes a village! I also appreciated that she brought the drama here, appearing even though she apparently earlier got caught in her own screen door. (Sort of chicly, though, tbh.)
