You guys. Today's Royal Ascot opener is a blooming delight. We've got Maxima in a hat that's just a fancy pile of leaves, Kate in metallic shoes (Kate, I'm so proud. I see you! Now please go outside carrying *The Royal We*, with the cover facing outward, while nodding and laughing and crying in public, then hold it to your bosom in an Anne Shirley-esque moment of literary communion. Thank you, I love you.), a TON of riotous florals, Kate and Beatrice in almost matching dresses, Princess Anne in one of her MOST 80s moments from the archives, and a Fergie False Alarm. Get ready!
