# Creative Arts Emmys Fug Carpet: Kate Mara in Christian Dior

Let us not pull punches: This is a sad jagged mess.

The quilted white shift underneath might be fine on its own, as a casual day dress, with bright heels and good accessories -- the kind of thing Reese Witherspoon or Emmy Rossum would be snapped in while walking down a nondescript street to a medical building, or a small cafe. The yellow piece here looks like it got savaged on the mannequin by somebody's drunken ex, or drunken ex's ex, in a telenovela called *Los Venenos De Los Pecadores* ("The Poisons of the Sinners"), which hopefully Jessica and I will be writing. IN BLOOD.
