I LOVE this dress on Kate. The color is fantastic, the fit is stellar, and it's got a slightly sportswear vibe that really works for this event. And not for nothing, but: open-toed shoes. Thank you, lord of light.

I also think the seaming detailing is really good. Somewhere, Kate Winslet is like, "DAMN IT. I was going to wear this." Note: I suspect that the open shoulder detailing might not sing for everyone, though I like it. I have to just give it up for the fact that (a) it's sort of sexy and (b) for once, it's erring on the side of fashion.
