I've read several times that the theory is that Kate likes to rewear outfits at events where they want the focus to be on the charity, rather than her new outfit (not always, obviously), to which I say: GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, but also, that's a nice idea. Here, she's at Chance UK's Early Intervention Programme, which focus on early intervention for kids with possible mental health issues. (As veteran affairs are Harry's Cause, so I think is mental health for children Kate's.) I love these pleats.

I enjoy the ponytail as a ponytail, but this is also TOTALLY the "I had a blowout yesterday, and then I had a huge updo and I have no choice but to wear a ponytail this morning, you guys. I also had six cups of coffee. Harry brought Joan Collins back to KP last night and MY GOD, they were loud." I mean, we truly have all been *there*, right?

We have also all been Cute Sneakers McGee back there with our camera phones, at least, in our hearts.

I feel like the rabid fan of a sports team that's on a highly improbable winning streak; deeply superstitious and sure the other shoe is about to drop -- no pun intended. Kate has another event tonight (another Formal Gown Event, no less) and at this point, I worry it's possible she will show up with one on her head. As to this outfit! I was weirdly just looking at the last time she wore this, because it happened on the same page of our Wills and Kate archives as The Teal Jenny Packham, and I had to reference that for the Bond premiere last night. (The last time she wore it was, by the way, also the time we found out that Prince Charles has no idea how to use an iron.) I liked it then, I like it now, I approve of the ponytail.
