Informative Caption sweeps in to tells us that this is a "visit to a Scout Group in Northolt, northwest London on September 29, 2020, where [Kate] joined Cub and Beaver Scouts in outdoor activities. The Duchess learned how the Scouts have adapted during the COVID-19 pandemic, and continued Scouting sessions and online activities." I cannot figure out if the vest is just part of her LOOK, or if British Scouting Grown-Ups favor a vest. American Scouts are fairly vest-forward. (The lil scarf is the Scouting Ascot, which is definitely its real name and not something I made up.)

"OH NO, I under-toasted this marshmallow."

I hope Kate imparted to this young ladies the best way to toast a marshmallow, which is to set it FULLY aflame and then frantically blow it out.

Kate's fellow Scouting Ascot Enthusiast here is Matt Hyde, Chief Executive of the Scouts. They look ready to do things like...make fires and identify birds? (My Girl Scouts troop mostly watched movies and gossiped and it is my understanding as an adult that this is not actually the purpose of being a Girl Scout. I will note that I AM always prepared and I do continue to support their cookie entrepreneurialism with great enthusiasm!)

Well, well, well, Getty Images London finally approved that purchase request for a drone! (This photo vaguely also looks like they're about to do a dance routine and I'm very sad that did not happen.)
