This looks like a very moving ceremony. Informative Caption tells us that "Holocaust Memorial Day takes place each year on the 27th January, the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, and honours survivors of the Holocaust, Nazi Persecution, and subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur."

This is Holocaust survivor Yvonne Bernstein, who is one of the people Kate photographed, and there were SEVERAL photos of them chatting away. Yvonne has truly seen a lot of history; my brain can't really even wrap around the concept of everything she's experienced and gone through in her life.
