In my imagination, Meghan and Harry are both sprawled in their footie pajamas on the plane home from Australia, scrolling through their own secret Instagrams (Harry's handle: The_Ginger_Snaps; Meghan's handle: Dress_For_Sussex) and both end up simultaneously texting Kate, "LOVE the blue dress!!" (I just want the Cambridges and the Sussexes to do a group holiday card where they're ALL in blue suits. Even the kids!) Princess Anne, on the other hand, has sent her a terse text telling her that her hair is covering up her poppy pin. Which is a shame, as it's this one, which is so pretty and meaningful.

Personally, I would like to text Kate and thank her for wearing the one pair of beige shoes she owns that I like well enough. (I think the color is, obviously, a missed opportunity with this dress, but on the boring scale, I think the bag, which is new, is MORE boring. I guess you don't want to bring a MADLY whimsical bag to a War Museum? But, like, I might have gone for cognac.) If the dress feels familiar to you, that's because she wore it on their most recent Canadian tour (that post is full of tiny George and Charlotte, if you want to revisit. It also has a weird lot of fedoras?).
Also, obviously, this is STUNNINGLY PICTURESQUE.

On Twitter, this morning, Fug National Alison noted that it looks like this Woman in the Great Coat, the museum's Director-General Diane Lees, is teaching Kate how to levitate these poppies, and it's VERY ACCURATE. (Also, I love all the people peering over at them from the porch.) (Also, I like how coordinated that Great Coat is with Kate's dress; dollars to donuts Ms Lees took an educated guess that Kate would be in some kind of blue.) (Also, WOW this is stunning. London looks real pretty right now.)

You can see Kate's poppy a bit here; how amazing that all of these letters and whatnot have been preserved for people to see and learn from.

A brief break for a shallow question: Do we think Kate took her maternity break to, in part, transition to a thicker eyebrow? Because I do.
