# Kate Has Appeared Again! (Looking Very Kate-ish)

This was a very Heir-to-the-Throne-y event today -- apparently the President of Ukraine and his wife Olena are in the UK for Reasons (that reads as very mysterious and I'm sure it is not; I just don't *know* said reasons), and[ Buckingham Palace had Wills and Kate meet with them instead of the Queen](https://people.com/royals/kate-middleton-and-prince-william-step-in-for-queen-elizabeth-to-host-visiting-leader-at-buckingham-palace/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (who is still in a tower in Windsor Castle where she is safely not breathing anyone's germs, although they keep saying she's going to come to London for some engagements in October which I wish she would not!) or Charles, who is presumably busy with a rousing game of pinochle with the possum that lives in his drawing room chimney.

[What Kate Wore reports that](https://whatkatewore.com/2020/10/07/the-duchess-in-cornflower-blue-for-ukraine-audience-at-buckingham-palace/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io#more-68619) (a) she *thinks* this dress of Kate's is Emilia Wickstead but she's not sure, and (b) passes along some interesting intel suggesting that Kate's necklace is a re-worked piece of Diana's. (I'm always interested in how that comes to pass.) I'm reporting that this is obviously extremely reasonable and also basically a Kate Costume.
