Wills and Kate Visit Poland: Day One
This is, per Informative Caption, "the Queen's Birthday Garden Party at the Orangery," and here Kate's dress looks...fine. It is in keeping with what everyone else is wearing. I like VERY much that she's wearing a Polish designer, and I also like that the dress is sort of unapologetically weird. Kate NEVER wears anything vaguely weird, and that's a fun change.

I think it's MUCH more interesting in motion. It's sort of a stiff dress -- literally -- but you can see what the structural elements are in aid of when the pleated segments are in movement. It's as avant-garde as she gets, and I appreciate that. I think it might need to be...like half-an-inch shorter, or be worn with slightly higher heels, though, in terms of proportion. Also: this venue looks fabulous, and we aren't even seeing the half of it. Look at its website! Amazing! As ever, these trips are good for tourism at least as far as I am concerned.
