This is a properly sexy garden cocktail party look, and, you guys, I am so proud. Off-the-shoulder, red, that new hair, and (as you'll see in the next slide), another pair of strappy super-heels. I do not know what has prompted this sartorial shift, but I approve.

This look is honestly VERY current. I know Kate works with her PA, Natasha Archer, often on her looks, and Natasha recently married one of the (lovely) royal photogs, Chris Jackson (who took several of these pictures, actually). I wonder if newlywed bliss has prompted her to agitate for something a little sassier than usual.

Kate is -- like a normal person at a cocktail party -- holding a glass of champs in her hand for much of these pics, and it makes me laugh. It feels very "I'M REALLY REALLY NOT PREGNANT."

I love this on her. It's not my own personal style, per se, but she looks really relaxed and current in it. She has a tendency to look a little stiff -- and considering how much criticism she gets, I understand why -- and this is the opposite of that.
