This is another situation where different photographers with different flashes and different angles made the dress look different colors. I do not think it was THIS bright in actuality, based on the other shots. (Also, in some shots from this standpoint, it looked like people would get het up about whether it wasn't lined enough, but you can see the slip's edge down by the hem; it's fully lined.)

I suspect, for most people's eyeballs, it looked closer to this less jazz-handsy color. I do really love the SHAPE of this particular shoe on her. Of her beige shoes, it's also MY favorite, and it may not be aggressively wrong for this event -- but could there have been one that is MORE RIGHT?

For the clutch admirers among you. It's a Mulberry (UK brand!) Bayswater wallet/clutch situation that she owns in a couple colors, and has carried before. This is very functional, it ties in the shoes, and that's about all there is to say about THAT. It's fine! Sometimes, "fine" is all a purse has to be. It DOES look empty though. If she's like me, it has a lipstick, her ID and a cash card, 20 pounds for emergencies, and her phone. Having said that, I don't think her phone is in there. It doesn't LOOK like it has anything of weight in it at all.

I love that Kate laughs with her whole head. I also enjoy that this photograph is accidentally framed to make it look like William has a spike thrust up his head. The monarchy DOES have a sensitive history with that.
