# Kim K on Vogue, March 2022

This is such a cold photo. It's stiff, it's remote, it's a blank. And she's wearing a Loewe satellite dish (and not, as many have noted, Balenciaga, for whom she is a muse and whose creative director is quoted in the story) that completely irons out her curves into an Anna-approved flat pancake. Seriously, that torso bears little resemblance to the Kim we know, which is ironic given the advertised story written by a plus-size editor about fashion making room for her. And while Kim has never excelled at warmth in photos, but [her last cover is at least a LITTLE better](https://assets.vogue.com/photos/5cab5fb65838bc2e1e296d0f/master/w%5F2400,h%5F3263,c%5Flimit/07-kim-kardashian-west-vogue-cover-may-2019.jpg?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). If the cover line suggests that fashion speaks to us all in the manner of BODY LANGUAGE, then this photo is a stony silence, followed by the quiet hiss of, "I loathe you."

This says, "I am a person who was told to lean on her right leg and stick her arms in the air and be, like, a tree lady."

And this says, "I like seriously almost dislocated my neck trying to stretch it into this position, but it was worth it to rock some like SERIOUS Egyptian Queen vibes." (For real, did they... Photoshop-stretch her neck? I'm getting a migraine just looking at this.)
