I ALMOST think this (amazing) necklace is too much alongside this (also amazing) dress? Is that possible? That tiniest of nitpicks aside -- this is fantastic on Salma and one of her personal bests.

And this is quirky and charming on her.

Bethann Hardison's Wikipedia is extremely interesting. The short version is that she is "an American fashion model and activist... well known for being one of the first high profile black models after her appearance at the 1973 Battle of Versailles fashion show." She's also the mother of Kadeem "Dwayne Wayne" Hardison, which would in and of itself be a gift to us all! She looks fantastic in this.

Gucci is so subdued! All jokes aside -- this is very fun and she looks great in it. (I LOVE a spangle and a bangled and believe "subdued" to be overrated.)

Blah blah blah something about bras here (I got my Moderna booster this weekend [on the advice of my doctor] and I'm still a little too tired to stir up much of a head of steam about bras at this point in the world.) Gucci LOVES feathered arms at the moment, as you'll see throughout our coverage of this event. I actually think she looks pretty great, all things considered.

I can't decide if I like this better now that I know it's a two parter or worse. I think...better? (It feels sort of more INTERESTING as a two-piece.) (It also MIGHT be trousers? Which is interesting? How many question marks will I put on this slide?)

What did I say about Feathered Arms? Both sleeves and, as seen here, Forearm Feathers. I don't totally get this as a concept but I suppose it's a way to accomplish the FEELING of a wrap without the annoyingness of having to wrangle a wrap? At any rate, this color is great on her, and, no, Pacey was not present. (Like I'd keep that from you.)

I LITERALLY thought Sienna was Miley Cyrus in this photo! (Miley was present, in a floral suit we'll show you later.) This is fine?

Leaving aside how I'm very bored of sheer detailing: this is pretty dreamy.

She's only 43 and while I personally do like to dress like an elderly woman as often as possible, this outfit is maybe slightly geriatric.

This is VERY Gucci and it's good on her but the real star for me is her hair color at the moment. I'm literally taking this to my colorist.

This dress is a PARTY. Might it be MORE of a party if it were shorter? (Even tea-length, honestly.)

ON BRAND.
