UPDATE: We JUST discussed the fact that Amandla prefers to use "they" as her pronoun (and it was a very interesting discussion actually), but yesterday NPR reported that she has decided to use "she" again. (That's also discussed in this WaPo piece; it says "Stenberg realized that she “didn’t need those pronouns to feel comfortable. . . . And it felt almost detrimental to those who really did need them.” (For the record, she’s good with “she” and “her.”)" This look has a Cool 80s It Girl feel to it that I am appreciating.

She told E! that her look is "Ariana Grande inspired" -- presumably, specifically the ponytail. I know They -- the fashion "they" -- are trying to bring back a flared pant, but I sort of wish these were slimer of cut. The pattern is super, though.

This is also very 80s to me; I feel like Melanie Griffith's Working Girl character is coveting that blazer with a profound longing.

Karla Welch styled Camila for this event -- along with Amandla, Busy Philipps, Amber Heard, AND host Tracee Ellis Ross -- and I think this is the first time they've worked together. Karla is very political on her social media, and I love the idea that perhaps that's been inadvertently good for her business, because it's so genuine, and that speaks to people. (And being a stylist is such an intimate thing; you might as well be yourself, because if someone is turned off by that your chemistry would probably be bad, anyway.) The result is good: She looks cool and tough in this, and it's a nice change.

I appreciate that these pants have just the tiniest LIZA WITH A Z! about them.

She kind of looks like she didn't totally finish getting dressed -- but in a good way. (That robe is great.)

So, I was just like, "I recognize her...how do I know her?" And it turns out she was on the original cast of Dance Moms, every episode of which I once watched when sick. And now she is on The Bold and the Beautiful, and also if they invent time travel and I have to be sent back to Studio 54 for REASONS, I want to do it in this.

I really REALLY hope that if that time travel thing happens, she's coming too, and wearing exactly this.
