Aw, I tease, Gaga. The thing is, I think this particular whimsical deployment of the gloves is a total gas. Amal's were a bit too "LOOK HOW UPPER-CRUST I AM" and these are just a touch of goofball that completely match the wearer. I don't hate the gown on her, either -- basically, this entire ensemble is perfect for Gaga and probably no one and nowhere else, and that's actually a good sign of success.

And her performance of the three songs from "The Sound of Music" was truly lovely. It's a little weird that she tried to copy Julie Andrews' accent, but honestly, her voice sounded so fabulous that I don't care.

And then Dame Julie came out and I lost it and started crying. I LOVE HER. And the fact that she can no longer sing any of these herself... yes, age, etc., but the tragedy of that throat surgery is that it robbed the world of the sound that came out of her mouth when she performed. Gaga paid wonderful tribute to it, I felt -- way better than that time Beyonce sang Etta James TO Etta James dressed AS Etta James at the Grammys -- and Julie Andrews I love you so much.
