I assume the entire internet made Jiffy Pop Popcorn jokes about this pre-show look -- complete with face shield -- and honestly that brings me JOY! Yes, shake this lady over a hot flame and see what deliciousness she brings!

Iris Van Herpen feels like a great match for Gaga; this feels almost holographic. (And those shoes feel like part of a Lady Gaga's Greatest Hits routine, which is something -- for the record -- I would enjoy at this point. Bring out the meat dress! Bring out the egg! Let's rewind to when the world wasn't on fire!)

I love Gaga for taking the challenge of wearing a face mask and truly making it, as Tyra would say, fashion. This is like if Mad Max met Hello Kitty and I support that.

This mask is amazing and creepy and weird and interesting, and goes so well with her jewelry.

Gaga's "mouth" moved in this mask and it was very cool. (Ariana was just wearing a regular mask. As Twitter pointed out: If they can perform in a mask, you can go into Walmart in one.)

Ariana Grande

We did not get a lot of people on the "red carpet" -- wisely, for everyone's health, and on that topic, this is an interesting piece at Page Six about how this show came together. Ariana looks like Ariana! (Which is welcome!) She was also in very good voice and this performance of "Rain on Me" was really fun, and made me want to go to the club and DAAAAANCE. Please note: As I am an Old, it's been a LONG time since I did that.

This is cute, and also I feel like we've seen it on Nicki Minaj already. This is what Gaga wore, in part, to play a piano that looked like a brain, which...that makes sense.

Candice Cuoco was on Project Runway and this feels like a huge moment for her: She did this very futuristic shiny coat situation! I truly am not kidding when I say that I hope when the aliens show up, that they're wearing this.
