Mindy Kaling in Valentino
I liked this better in the shot on Mindy's Instagram than I do on the red carpet, although it's definitely nice on her. On her IG, it looks less like a bustier and a skirt, and more like a black cocktail dress that has this sheer poncho/cape sassiness over it. Her makeup is GREAT, though, and I'm generally delighted that this movie is finally coming out.

Here is the obligatory shot of her with BJ, which has probably already spawned a gajillion headlines. He looks... like BJ Novak. In this shot, her dress makes me with the details on the overlay were in gold sparkles, which might be too much, but I just wish I could SEE it.

Green sequins are my catnip. The minty nails, less so. (That super sharp nail trend is STILL back in a big way. How do people not slice themselves, or constantly catch them on things? My computer keyboard is trashed -- I ruin the S and A and often E keys on every keyboard I use -- and I don't even HAVE nails.)

This was captioned Gillian Jacobs, but it is not. She looks very cute in that, but I want to accessorize it a bit -- she NABs, for on thing. Her sassy haircut is great on her. Mine is SUPER overgrown right now because my hairdresser had a baby and I've just been letting it go batshit while she's on leave. So now it's like straw and I am tempted to bob it, except then I'm going to regret it, but... sigh. These are not real problems.
