Laura Linney
That extra busy sleeve is a bit much, but the rest of this is very elegant, and it also does the job of being a) formal enough for a major career event, and b) perfect for when you have to pose both on the ground and on your feet. It's a good dress for doing all that clambering.
See? She looks divine. I also love the soft Old Hollywood glam feel of her hair.
Laura Linney
It is a requirement to note her fantastic frames.
Leland Orser, Laura Linney, Jeanne Tripplehorn and son August Tripplehorn Orser
Laura and Jeanne were roommates at Juilliard, and it's awesome that they're still tight AND that Jeanne brought her whole family. Laura Linney seems VERY private about her own relationship and child, so if the decision was not to bring them into this limelight, it's nice that she's got her friend-family there. (The others might be there too, and just not front-and-center in the spotlight.)
with Ann Leggett
Laura DID bring her mother, who seems fabulous.
Holland Taylor, Chris Mundy
Chris is the Ozark EP, and Holland was in The Truman Show with Laura. With Laura kneeling and holding up a plaque, it looks like an elementary school graduation photo or something. (In a sweet way.)
Laura Linney honored with star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Los Angeles, California, USA - 25 Jul 2022
Her smile is just the best. Congratulations, Laura! I wonder if people actually hang these on their walls, or if they end up under the bed. I hope she goes full Notre Dame Football and hangs it somewhere that's easy to tap for luck every time she leaves the house.
