Let's start with the poster. I assume this slogan got scrapped because it is TRULY STUPID -- yes, absolutely, no blondes have ever been to Harvard!!!!!!! -- but I don't know exactly where it was used. It's missing all the movie information, and it's not the one that is behind Reese at the premiere; that's this one...

Better, and cute, but guys: That is not Reese Witherspoon's body and we all know it. Reese Witherspoon did not need to get Barbie'd into this.

She even helpfully wore matching pink to the premiere as if to be like, "See? That behind me is a cartoon. Ignore it." It's not a great dress, sadly, but it's on-brand for Elle Woods.

Ryan thoughtfully coordinated with her. Also, the other day, I accidentally typed "Busy Philippe" and realized that I may just then have created the world's most nuanced and impossible celebrity mash-up Halloween costume.

Super. This is SO good. We just revisited this outfit on her birthday but I didn't want to ignore it, because she deserves her due.

Those pants are such... slacks. (I really hate the word 'slacks.' As a kid, I just wholly rejected the concept of any pants being called 'slacks' until the wearer was a grandparent.)

That belt is just there to... wait, why IS that belt there? I can think of no reason, not even facetiously, why that thing is slinging itself around her.

"Amy! Amy, get over here and show them your work pants so that they stop talking about my belt!"

Listen, a lot of us bought our separates at Express in 2001. It happens.

She is going to come back for Legally Blonde 3, and she could wear that again if she hung onto it. Navels are back.

As big splashy branded bags go, that is an exceptionally ugly one.

I COMPLETELY forgot that she's in this movie. She looks like Elle Woods's future. (I feel like Elle changed colors at some point.)

"Can I go inside yet? The popcorn is getting cold."

That "Babie" logo is not fooling anyone.

He is so excited about his fillings! He's going to have a very specific selfie of them, too.

I did not remember David's frosted-tips phase. He looks like he's in a boy band.

Alias had shot its pilot and was probably about to start filming season one. Scott Foley seems unduly comfortable with his gelled bangs, and Jennifer seems like she is fretting about what time she has to get up tomorrow for Krav Maga.

Hoku sings the song that always crawls into my head from this movie -- "Perfect Day." She has fallen prey to the shirt and pants pitfalls of the era, which make us all wonder in retrospect if we momentarily forgot how clothes work.

This was a special Hamptons premiere. (Reese's hair was short because she was filming Sweet Home Alabama.) I quite like this little striped dress, but I wish it didn't have the matching ascot. It's like she stapled an emergency hanky to herself.

I guess Ryan's version of coordinating this time was sleeveless and stripes.

This is fine. She was correct to wear her better dress to the big premiere.

And I guess at the Australia premiere, Isla Fisher wore... a wig? (This was well before she hit it big Stateside.) Maybe she was angling for a role in the sequel. She maybe should have splashed out on a better fake 'do.
