As Queen Maxima will be celebrating her birthday on Sunday -- she turns 49 -- it seems like a glorious time to celebrate her love of a MASSIVE CHAPEAU. And thus, let's revisit this luxuriously long retrospective of her headgear that I wrote in October 2018 to mark the Dutch State Visit. (I haven't updated it since, but trust me: All the greatest hat hits are HERE.) So many giant things on her head, so many misguided outfits! There are berets AND babies!
