Linda Evangelista
My ONLY beef with this photo is that they have gone with the intentional blur (at first I thought maybe I'd messed something up, but you can see it here on Vogue's website, too). The photo itself is fantastic and SO unmistakably, recognizably her. She only needed one eye visible to do it. The blur adds nothing but a distraction. If this were sharp it would be AMAZING. It's shot so intelligently, creating wonderful shapes around that iconic face.
This is also good. It's SO good. I mean, she's Linda Evangelista; she knows what she's doing. But I kind of wish they'd sent out THIS amazing one with the 80s soap feel.
I also love this. It's joyous. This was the one where I saw it and realized what she herself acknowledged in the piece: that she wasn't ready to shoot anything but her face yet. So they worked around it, and made art.
