I was surprised to see this credited to Gucci, as it doesn't to me very much like the Gucci of today; goes to show how much a brand can change. Y'all voted her best-dressed for this, and you will hear no argument from me. (Here were the other contenders. I stand by... some of them. I'd evict Bowen, Mirren, Isla Fisher, Natalie Dormer, and regrettably Mindy, because I think the design looks messy.) Anyway! This color is gorgeous and the neckpiece is a cool alternative to borrowing seven figures' worth from Harry Winston.

And I LOVE this. AND she won best-dressed again, in a field where I'd keep just about everyone except MAYBE Joanne Froggatt? Not that she looks bad, but it's not really remarkable either. Lupita's back-to-back wins hold up, though.

Do we think this is missing a necklace, even just a subtle one? I do enjoy the gown, though. She looks like she's rising triumphantly out of some metaphorical gloom.

Reader, I screamed. The moral of so many stories lately is, "If Vera Wang offers to design something custom for you, say no." Unless you are a figure skater, and honestly, even then I'm not sure.

This is ALSO custom, and it's so much better. My quibble is that I don't think it needs the tiny black belt. Then again, you have to squint to see it, so it's obviously not ruining anyone's experience.
