I cannot believe I am saying this -- is this a harbinger of good things? I don't want to jinx it -- but this dress on Maggie G is *really cute*. It's Marni, which is one of those lines that I would wear a lot now that I'm very nearly basically middle-aged if only if I were *also* rich. It always reads to me like clothes for a woman who's lived a little bit and it's only made her cooler -- which, of course, is what all of us who've lived a little bit hopes said living has done for us. I'm not in love with the hem, but by the time I get down there, I like the rest of it so much that I don't even care. There's a metaphor in there for something, but I'm not going to delve too deeply.
