I love her so much. First, she is BRILLIANT in *I, Tonya*. The other ladies nominated against her are good, but for me it's a crime if she doesn't take it (and yet somehow I feel like the Oscar voters at least won't take that film seriously, which is a shame, because it's brilliantly acted all-around). Also, she can wear something this achingly simple and sleek, [or this dramatically demi-cafttanic](../photos/she-tonya-totally-attended-the-i-tonya-premiere/the-los-angeles-premiere-of-itonya), and look equally amazing in both. (Oh, and after a moment of shock, I decided that weird mark near her groin is actually light reflecting off the bottom of her clutch. Nothing else makes sense.) ## Holly Hunter in Christian Siriano ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2018/01/shutterstock_9305737dc-1514962352.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Baron/REX/Shutterstock (9305737dc) Holly Hunter Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, Arrivals, USA - 02 Jan 2018 She is ALL ABOUT sleek and simple, and it always suits her. ## Salma Hayek in Gucci ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2018/01/shutterstock_9305695ct-1514962319.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/REX/Shutterstock (9305695ct) Salma Hayek Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, Arrivals, USA - 02 Jan 2018 This dress seems like it was designed for someone Elle Fanning's age, but it looks pretty good on Salma, especially compared to the HIDEOUS Guccis she's procured in the past (I will cop to wishing Saoirse Ronan had picked it). She's busting out of it a little bit, but somehow Salma manages to wrangle all that in a way that never comes off as tawdry. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2018/01/shutterstock_9305695cr-1514962306.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/REX/Shutterstock (9305695cr) Salma Hayek Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, Arrivals, USA - 02 Jan 2018 AND she's having fun. Glorious, green fun. ## Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2018/01/shutterstock_9305695ab-1514962295.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/REX/Shutterstock (9305695ab) Octavia Spencer Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, Arrivals, USA - 02 Jan 2018 Octavia is warming up for what might be a Golden Globes Sans The Color Wheel. I'm glad she's burning off this respectable but also totally boring option. ## Laurie Metcalf in Christian Siriano ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2018/01/shutterstock_9305737cv-1514962341.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Baron/REX/Shutterstock (9305737cv) Laurie Metcalfe Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, Arrivals, USA - 02 Jan 2018 I wish this fit her better in the bust area -- it's crinkling a bit? -- but considering this is a very glamorous cult priestess robe, she looks extremely groovy in it. I would maybe join her cult. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2018/01/shutterstock_9305737cs-1514962330.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Matt Baron/REX/Shutterstock (9305737cs) Laurie Metcalfe Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala, Arrivals, USA - 02 Jan 2018 I mean, who WOULDN'T be tempted to give her all their money in exchange for a really glorious gossip sesh over some cocktails? Wait, this cult I've just invented is basically Drinks With Broads, I think. I'm way too lazy to turn that into a cult, so I guess we're just going to have to leave out that bit.
