Established by Aurora James of Brother Vellies in 2020, The 15 Percent Pledge is, [per Wiki,](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/15%5FPercent%5FPledge?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) “a US-based non-profit organization that encourages retailers to pledge at least 15 percent of their shelf-space to Black-owned businesses. The foundation conducts audits, shares its database of Black-owned businesses, and offers business development strategies to participating companies.” Their website is also an excellent resource to [find and shop Black-owned brands! ](https://15percentpledge.org/shop-black?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) And on Saturday, they held their annual gala -- this year, on the backlot of Paramount Studios.
