I have seen these photos MANY times in my life and I can't believe I didn't put the Princess Diana connection together until I read it. Now that I know, it feels obvious.

This tiara IS nearly a replica of the Spencer Tiara, in fact.

And the 27 foot train is VERY Princess Diana, obviously. (I also read that she had 50 flower girls, but couldn't really confirm this. I want to believe it, though. God bless Mariah.)

It was wise of Mariah to take Diana's Giant Puffed Sleeves and dial that back, though.

I BELIEVE this was from a pre-wedding event -- it was in Getty's collection of photos from this wedding -- and Mariah looks very chic here.

And I believe this was her arriving pre-wedding to wherever she got ready, and WOW this is classic Mariah Carey; no one wears a tank and jeans better. What a babe.

On to the guests! Do not ask me why De Niro is the only one in black and white, but he DOES look cinematic here. (That's his daughter with him.)

Look who has arrived to be the boss of this wedding!
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne

As you can see, as foretold by Alanis Morissette, there was rain on this wedding day. Ozzy looks like Ozzy, Sharon looks like Sharon.

Barbra looks very Barbra-y; for a quick moment, I thought "and security" was Al Gore, which would have been thrilling! (I know she's currently very happily married to James Brolin, but I kind of think Al Gore and Babs would make a good couple?)
Michael Bolton

Michael Bolton is in the house with his quintessential Michael Bolton hair!

For one brief moment, I thought Christie Brinkley had a bedazzled face mask hanging around her neck; it is, instead, a surely very expensive choker. (This marriage had about a year left on the clock.)
Dick Clark and wife Kari Clark

Dick Clark looks like Dick Clark, and I love that his wife decided to go for a low-key I Dream of Jeannie moment.
Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa

I do NOT think of Bruce Springsteen as a person with facial hair.

Don't worry! We've also got Hall! (I believe his date is Hall and Oates's longtime songwriter/his girlfriend Sara Allen. She looks like Annabella Sciorra, a bit.)
