Angèle, Marion's co-star in this movie, is wearing some pretty cheesy Chanel herself. But who knows if she has the clout to be like, "Oh, lord, no, absolutely don't send the jeans, I do not want to look like the inside of a suitcase." Marion DOES have lots of clout, though. Should she have spent it on these tweed overalls? As overalls go, they certainly could be worse. But I can't help thinking that she looks like the City Mouse who's all dressed up for some country cosplay, like she's been watching a lot of *The Simple Life* in reality-show reruns. I do NOT think we need to revisit that era.
