*Mudbound* feels like an Oscar hopeful: It's set in Mississippi, it's about weighty subject matter, and it stars a musician who surprised everyone and is garnering a LOT of complimentary reviews. Indeed, I've heard MJB mentioned as a Supporting Actress frontrunner, in fact, so there is zero hateration in her dancerie right now.
