I want to like this. I'm VERY close. They maybe should've had her lie down in the limo. Or maybe they DID and that's why her hair looks a bit like it fell flat. I also don't really know why we need that seam crashing across her legs. (I assume it's practical, like they can make the dress under the seam a bit looser so that she can walk more comfortably, but it's so intrusive.)

This is one of those overwrought dresses whose sparkle, I think, may have blinded everyone to the whole picture.

Emily's looks better in this shot. Meryl looks great -- I love that skirt. Also, and this is with all the usual caveats about Blind Items, I read one the other day that was a REVEAL that said Meryl and Idris Elba had a hot fling a few years ago, and I respect marriage and obviously grain of salt yada yada yada, but Reader, I APPLAUDED. (I've decided he's on her Freebie list.)

She's a judge on the new GBBO, which I haven't watched yet -- I KNOW, I know -- but her outfit is very groovy and sculptural, and she kind of looks like Billie Jean King. Which is neither here nor there, but I LIKE BJK, so maybe I will like her too.
