Cate wore [a dress version of this](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/wrapping-up-cannes-2018/71st-annual-cannes-film-festival-the-man-who-killed-don-quixote-photocall?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) to close Cannes in 2018 -- [putting a literal bow on it](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/wrapping-up-cannes-2018/71st-annual-cannes-film-festival-the-man-who-killed-don-quixote-photocall-2?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) \-- and at the time I asked why her boobs had eyelids, and the quesetion still stands. I do think it's cooler with trousers.

Gorgeous! Timelessly so, to the point that it's almost wasted on the show and not an event.

I never did see what he wore under this, so I guess the cape is the whole story. It's a dramatic one.

This is from the 2013 bee collection, and the edginess on someone as genetically angelic-looking as Elle Fanning is a fun contrast. It's a heavy ensemble and I think it's suited to an event like this, which is clearly a tribute, or a Met Gala.

That's a bit underwhelming. I kind of wish EVERYONE had gone full tribute-wacky. [I wanted to see the eye stuff again](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/the-mcqueen-show-this-season-had-an-eye-motif-10-2022/). A sentence I have NEVER written or said before.
