She's nominated for Prima Facie against Jessica Chastain; we have a battle of the JCs. ## Jessica Chastain ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810eu-1683229831.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810eu) Jessica Chastain 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 She ALSO went for an aggressively neutral suit, though it's not as precise as Jodie's. ## Annaleigh Ashford, Josh Groban ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898806q-1683230007.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by John Nacion/Shutterstock (13898806q) Annaleigh Ashford and Josh Groban 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 More neutrals, this time on the Sweeney Todd leads. I have not read very positive things about Groban's vocal take on his role? She generally got raves, but overall I don't think it was a slam-dunk revival. Annaleigh looks cute but what I would give for a colorful shoooooe. ## Sara Bareilles ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898788az-1683230091.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock (13898788az) Sara Bareilles 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 She was in the "Into the Woods" revival. This is the "loose fit" version of Jodie's, and indeed it looks... floppy. ## Sean Hayes, "Good Night, Oscar" ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898788l-1683229994.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock (13898788l) Sean Hayes 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 I don't know. It's fine? Why is everyone so BEIGE today. ## Katy Sullivan, Cost of Living, Supporting Actress ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810el-1683229855.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810el) Katy Sullivan 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Katy is an actress, a producer, and, oh, no big deal, just A PARALYMIPAN. Ahem: "Sullivan is a four-time US champion in the 100 m. She was among the first bilateral above-knee amputees to compete in the Paralympics in ambulatory track when she ran in the London 2012 Paralympic Games, setting a new American record of 17.33 seconds and finishing 6th in the World." Hot damn. ## Helen Park, KPop co-lyricist ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810gc-1683229783.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810gc) Helen Park 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 This is at least a very CUTE beige outfit. ## Arian Moayed, A Doll's House, Supporting Actor ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810fn-1683229819.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810fn) Arian Moayed 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 I've always enjoyed him as an actor (he's Stewie on Succession, perfectly odious in that part), and I also think I would have gone with crisp white sneakers here. ## Audra McDonald, Ohio State Murders, lead actress (play) ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810g-1683229808.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810g) Audra McDonald 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 The Lead Actress field is only four people this year, which is weird. Maybe everyone felt like JC and JC and Audra (and Jessica Hecht, coming up) was just too formidable. ## Stevie Walker-Webb, Ain't No Mo', director ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810cq-1683229932.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810cq) Stevie Walker-Webb 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 I love that hit of red in his pocket square. It makes the blue-on-black work better for me, somehow. ## Cameron Crowe and Tom Kitt, Almost Famous ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810fs-1683229795.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810fs) Cameron Crowe and Tom Kitt 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 For a split second I thought Cameron was Gerard Depardieu. ## Lee Daniels ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898788cw-1683230080.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock (13898788cw) Lee Daniels 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Did he produce one of these, or is he just there to hang out? Anyway, I like his kicks. ## Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Topdog/Undedog, lead actor ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810gz-1683230103.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810gz) Yahya Abdul-Mateen II 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Sure! ## Bonnie Milligan, Justin Cooley and Victoria Clark ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810gd-1683229771.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810gd) Bonnie Milligan, Justin Cooley and Victoria Clark 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Victoria, Bonnie, and Justin (left to right) are nominated for Kimberly Akimbo in supporting, lead, and supporting. I LOVE his shirt and I'm so happy for them. ## Kevin Cahoon, Shucked, supporting ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810dk-1683229867.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810dk) Kevin Cahoon 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 This is so cheerful. I'm in. ## Alex Newell, Shucked, featured actor ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810bv-1683230678.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810bv) Alex Newell 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Alex, who is gender nonconforming, is SO TALENTED. I know they were on Glee, but I know them from Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and highly recommend you check that out -- their first major episode was so moving. I love this blouse and I am so happy for them. ## LaChanze ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810bh-1683229956.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810bh) LaChanze 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 LaChanze, who herself was nominated just two years ago for her performance in Trouble In Mind, is killing it right now as a producer of both Topdog/Underdog AND Kimberly Akimbo. ## Colton Ryan, New York, New York, lead ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898788dr-1683230052.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock (13898788dr) Colton Ryan 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 I appreciate the yellow jacket! Just don't get on a plane with any of your soccer teammates, sir. ## Jessica Hecht, Summer, 1976, lead in a play ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810dn-1683229879.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810dn) Jessica Hecht 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 So, apparently this play is a two-hander with Laura Linney, but they didn't nominate Laura, which has to hurt. Also though imagine what a Murderer's Row this category would be if LL were added to it. Hecht s my least favorite of those performers in GENERAL, though I have sadly not seen any of these shows, and my feelings about her outfit mirror that. ## NaTasha Yvette Williams, Some Like It Hot, supporting ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810cy-1683229908.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810cy) NaTasha Yvette Williams 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Great color, great necklace. ## Crystal Lucas-Perry, Ain't No Mo', supporting in a play ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810cm-1683229943.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810cm) Crystal Lucas-Perry 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Her shoes have won LIFE. ## Max Vernon ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898788ey-1683230017.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock (13898788ey) Max Vernon 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 He is the other lyricist for KPop, and I love this entire thing. It is bright and poppy and delightful. ## J. Harrison Ghee and Christian Borle, Some Like It Hot, leads ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810cw-1683229920.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810cw) J. Harrison Ghee and Christian Borle 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 The winner here has to be Ghee's shoes, though Borle's pocket square is right in there. ## Miriam Silverman, The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window, supporting in a play ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898788ei-1683230029.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock (13898788ei) Miriam Silverman 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Oscar Isaac and Rachel Brosnahan are the leads in this one and did not receive nominations, so Miriam is their lone rep. And she is doing it with great lipstick. ## Ruthie Ann Miles, Sweeney Todd, supporting ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810em-1683229844.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810em) Ruthie Ann Miles 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 RUTHIE! She looks so great. ## Wendell Pierce, Death of a Salesman, lead ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810h-1683230115.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810h) Wendell Pierce 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 He looks dapper, but man, he started -- and doubled down on -- [the WEIRDEST Twitter thread](https://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/125152031.html?page=2&ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) in which he complained about how much he hated Women Talking, for reasons that eventually made it seem like he did not in fact actually watch Women Talking. As people point out, he seems not to have understood that it was a true story about Mennonites, a fact he then blames on the movie not being clear about this?!? He just keeps going. ## Corey Hawkins, Topdog/Underdog, lead in a play ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810ac-1683229982.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810ac) Corey Hawkins 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 I don't think I've ever seen him with a mustache before, and he reminds me so much of young Lionel Richie with it. Where is Hello: The Musical, I ASK YOU. ## Micaela Diamond, Ben Platt, Parade, leads ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898788de-1683230067.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock (13898788de) Micaela Diamond and Ben Platt 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Ben Platt looks actually mostly sort of fine! Who knew. I have notes, but it's been worse. Micaela now adds to the long list of Tony nominees and/or winners in The Gilded Age, as she played a shopgirl in Season 1. ## Kara Young, Cost of Living, supporting in a play ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898788dx-1683230041.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Andrew H. Walker/Shutterstock (13898788dx) Kara Young 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Oh dear. I've seen Desperately Seeking Susan and I know what happens when people wear those earrings. ## Jennifer Moeller ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810gi-1683230137.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810gi) Jennifer Moeller 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 She did the costume design for Camelot, and she is WORKING those leather pants. ## Jordan Donica, Camelot, supporting ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810gh-1683230148.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810gh) Jordan Donica 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Jordan is the only Camelot performer to be nominated, in an Aaron Sorkin-driven revival whose notices were mixed. I like his tunic, but let's at least get this gentleman some Doc Martens. ## Julia Lester, Into the Woods, supporting ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810aw-1683229970.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810aw) Julia Lester 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 Tall boots are BACK. ## Amber Ruffin ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13898810db-1683229891.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Erik Pendzich/Shutterstock (13898810db) Amber Ruffin 76th Annual Tony Awards Meet the Nominees Press Day, Sofitel Hotel, New York, USA - 04 May 2023 As usual, she looks kicky and bright and is the perfect big finish.
