I don't dislike Meghan's casually professional aesthetic; she's definitely in the Letizia vein of royal fashion. But a pattern -- still professional! -- would have been cool with that coat and shoes, right? It rained on her for part of the day, and with light colors, I'd have been worried about having water spots in the photos, or all over my wool. PARTICULARLY with the shoes, hence my suggestion of a deep purple.

The dress looks pretty flimsy, but the world has been wailing for her to wear stuff with a more relatable price tag, so it's tough to complain when she does it. The darker color might've hidden some of the wear issues, like the crinkles.

I realized only after I downloaded everything that I was missing a shot of the bag, so here you are. It's a $1300 Stella McCartney tote. I didn't find that color online either, so maybe that's also something she already had, but it does match the outfit uncannily so who knows. It was a very matchy, bland day. She's at a point in her pregnancy where it's hard to ding a BLAH dress because she might just want to be comfortable, but I think... a larger size would have bunched less?

Shoe shots! I assume the photogs were doing this for obnoxious reasons, like pregnancy feet or whatever (which she does not have), but for me it's confirming that she avoided water spots on those shoes for at least part of the day. I am a person who is paranoid about her suede. I am also someone who happily wore heels throughout her pregnancy, because at a time when my body was doing crazy things and my life was about to change forever, the heels made me feel like ME. So you will not catch me eyerolling any pregnant lady who wants to keep wearing them.

I am also wondering if pet hair wouldn't stick to an all-wool outfit. But then again, pet hair probably sticks to a lot of things and Meghan HAS pets, so she wouldn't worry about that. NEVER MIND. Go ahead and SCRATCH THAT VERY GOOD BOY.

This is a Jack Russell named Minnie, and I am not even joking about Harry being at home terribly jealous that Meghan got to go cuddle dogs today. These two seemed to take to each other; maybe Meg can smuggle Minnie out in her handbag. Or, you know, adopt her -- she is currently available; will she last the day? -- but smuggling is more thrilling.

This one's name is Foxy, which I've decided is also Meghan's nickhame for Harry. Hey, they're both gingers.
