This is cute! I always enjoy it when Meghan leans a little 60s. (The skirt of her dress is a little crinkled because this is post-panel and she's been sitting for a while.) I like how graphic the print is -- at first, I thought it was sailboats (I LOVE a sailboat print; I have a black and white dress with sailboats all over it myself), but I think it's just abstract.

I miiiiiiiight have paired this with an equally swingy coat and just really leaned into the Mod Silhouette. I also *might* have paired this with booties of some sort because I wonder if she needs some visual weight at the bottom of this outfit to echo the visual weight of the turtleneck/shoulder pads at the top? (Let's be real, what I really need her to do is stand in front of me wearing two different shoes, and then do that dance where you lift up one foot, and then the other, so as to decide what footwear looks best with the rest of the outfit.)

Here's your side view. When I first saw the pics from this event, I thought it might be a very slim-fitting body-con dress, but as you can see, it is not.

How sick do you think she is of people peering at her bump and saying things like, "ooh, you've dropped a bit." I've never been pregnant, and I'm 43 so that's not gonna happen, but as much as I totally get why that would drive people NUTS, I don't think it would have bothered me. Bodies are weird and interesting!

Here, Meghan's between the model/activist Adwoa Aboah, and the former Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard and this color story is PERFECT!! Well done, women. Also: I'm sure some folks think this skirt is too short, and of course that is your preogative! To me, it seems fine when she's sitting down, which is truly the question. God, I will never forget this: We were on a panel at the LA Times Festival of Books one year and I wore a VERY short swingy little shift dress that was super cute when I was standing and then we got there and I remembered I was going to be in public on a raised stage sitting in a director's chair. It was SO SHORT when I sat down. I managed, but the first thing I said to my mother when I got off stage was, "oh my god my skirt was too short" and she said, "I could tell." It turns out I own a lot of what I'll call Standing Up Outfits.

This picture is really cute. Meghan seems so DELIGHTED! We've got, from left to right: Annie Lennox (of....you know, being Annie Lennox), Adwoa Aboah (in addition to being a model, [she's started Gurls Talk](https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2018/03/gurls-talk-adwoa-aboah?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)), Julia Gillard, Meghan, Anne McElvoy (she's senior editor of The Economist and I believe she moderated this panel), Angeline Murimirwa (Wiki tells me that she is "a Zimbabwean feminist, who is the executive director for [Camfed ](https://camfed.org/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io)in Africa," and my eyes tell me she is a woman with great taste in outerwear) and Chrisann Jarrett, the founder of[ Let Us Learn](https://letuslearn.study/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io). These are some accomplished women indeed!
