This is from the District Six trip. She wore this dress on the Oz tour. Shortly thereafter, Jessica Mulroney wore one on her Instagram in red, which I kind of took as a coded message that she was working with Meghan at that time even if no one said it publicly. (I've always been intrigued by what that current friend/client relationship is; they are very quiet about it.)

Day Two

Here, Meghan is in Madewell (jacket), J. Crew (shirt), Mother (jeans), and huaraches. They started out at Monwabisi Beach meeting with people connected to Waves for Change, a youth mental health charity; Commonwealth Litter Programme, which targets a reduction of plastic waste; and the Lunchbox Fund, the latter of which received donations at M&H's request after their wedding, and was able to use those to feed an extra 750 children. It's also helped create jobs for previously unemployed women, who now help feed the kids at various townships which, in turn, they say has increased school attendance.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are on an official visit to South Africa. Bo-Kaap is known for its brightly coloured homes and cobbled streets. The brightly colored homes are attributed to an expression of freedom by the homeowners after the emancipation of slavery in 1834. In May 2018, Bo-Kaap was awarded National Heritage Status. Here they visited Bo-Kaap, "known for its brightly coloured homes and cobbled streets. The brightly colored homes are attributed to an expression of freedom by the homeowners after the emancipation of slavery in 1834." I didn't think this dress was very successful, which this photo shows a bit better; I also would have, I think, pinned up her hair under the head covering at the mosque.

Meghan wore this to meet Desmond Tutu, with Archie in tow, and there was not a single frontal shot of it without Archie in it. Not that I mind; I just couldn't give you a clearer look at it than this. It's great, though. Patterns are our friends. Our full coverage of day three is here.

The organisation trains and employs women living with HIV as frontline health workers across eight African nations. These “Mentor Mothers” work both in health facilities and door-to-door in local communities to deliver health services and education to other women and their families. This peer-based delivery model ensures that services are provided by people from the same community as those they serve, and are rooted in shared realities and experiences. Since it started in 2001, mothers2mothers has created over 10,000 jobs for women living with HIV and reached more than 11 million women and children under two years old. They have achieved virtual elimination of mother-to-child transmission of HIV for their clients for the last five years in a row, and in 2017, 97% of children in their early childhood development programme achieved all of their developmental milestones at their first birthday.
