# Melissa McCarthy Cheerfully Ushers in Spring on the April Cover of InStyle

First of all,[ you definitely want to click over to InStyle to read the article and see the inside shots](https://www.instyle.com/celebrity/melissa-mccarthy-april-2021-cover?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), because the shoes Melissa is wearing ARE SO CUTE. Second, the interview -- which Laura Brown did herself -- is very charming and diverting and fun. This part will ABSOLUTELY be of interest to Fug Nation:

I have never been flipped off or told to f— off as much as at that party \[laughs\], and it was all done, uh, jokingly, but also with something real behind it. \[After the ceremony\] everyone put on a different dress and different heels. They just totally were like, "You go f— yourself \[for wearing a tracksuit\]." My response was, "Oh, OK, I'm going to go dance pretty hard right now."

I love this. Y'all, you can *all* wear a tracksuit and sneakers to that party if you want! (She also discusses filming in Australia and QAnon and the election and a lot of more important info -- as well as some drama with a nude bodysuit -- but that was *always* going to be the pull quote I grabbed for us.)

I feel like maybe you had to be there for this one. It *definitely* is a test shot -- they didn't crop out the box she's standing on -- and although she looks banging in this dress (and the glasses are so cute), I'm not totally sure I know what is happening here? But this is why it's the subscriber cover! That's where they try things!
