Renee Zellweger

This Pucci looks pretty good on Renee. I'm not mad at it. I do, however, marvel at how she wears exactly the same hairdo to EVERYTHING. Like, to the point where it looks like she doesn't even take it down or wash it -- she just uses a shower cap, and then wraps it in foil or something when she sleeps.

Then again, my hair doesn't really hold a style, and tends not to look great in updos, so if I were a celebrity -- which thank God will not happen -- I would likely ALSO suffer from Head-Suit Rut Syndrome.

Sofia, Keren, Georgina, and Leighton

We've already covered Leighton, and my feelings were basically equal to the expression on her face in this photo. Sofia looks like she almost always does: great. Keren is in a Marchesa that nobody should have let her wear, simply because I think about twelve people have already worn it, including Georgina on this season of Project Runway All Stars, and almost no one is going to look better in anything than she does because LOOK AT HER.

Although, y'all can weigh in on THAT, because: Georgina herself is wearing a shortened version of the dress Lea Michele sported at the PCAs. I liked it on her, and I like it on Georgina. However, a potted fern would probably look good on Georgina. So.

Alicia Keys

How come Alicia Keys' pants don't fit? Is she leaving room for extra buttocks to erupt on her thighs? Now THAT is a telethon. Cue "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban, please.

Ashley Greene

Ashley, like Nina Dobrev, was Donna Karan's rep at the party. And I think Nina got a more interesting dress, for sure, but that doesn't necessarily take anything away from Ashley here. She DOES look lovely. It might need bolder lipstick, and the oops-it-slipped-again shoulder design is never my favorite. But listen, if she ever gets married, she should have Donna design the gown. Or just trot out this one again.

Liv Tyler

Maybe this needed to be seen in person, because in pictures it's a big thppppppt. Or however you spell that inglorious noise. And her bangs look like bad falsies.

Amy Adams

I wonder if I'd have liked this better without the gift bow. It never seemed to sit on the proper part of the dress -- every time she moved around I could still see the waist seam. It just sort of flopped around. And tonally it doesn't match -- it's a hit of cutesy on a dress that doesn't cry for it and indeed might be allergic to it.

Cate Blanchett

I find Cate's head so soothing. Like, whenever I see her, smiling that smile and being all Cate, I get this feeling like, "Ahhh, I can exhale, we're going to be okay." Having said that, the dress looks like an incredibly heavy bag of hair. An EXPENSIVE bag, and a lushly maintained one, but still. I kind of want it chop it off right below the furry knee line, before it explodes into a Pantene ad.

Met Ball Fugs and Fabs: Black and White
Let's be honest: I'm getting to the point in the week where we need to clear the decks. Too many famous people, too many gowns, too impossible to ignore them yet too much else going on now to give them each their own post. I love you, Met Ball, but I need you to get off my lawn.
